MBSL’s Engineers, Architects and drafting professionals are seasoned and extremely meticulous when creating your panelized steel system. MBSL’s floor panels are designed using various gauges of steel material. These gauges can run from 12gauge (2.78mm) to 20 gauge (0.84mm). Steel studs also vary in size, ranging from 6” to (152mm) to 12” (305mm).
MBSL creates varying strengths by increasing steel thickness/ decreasing the member spacing to provide the client with the best architectural design. Floor panel sizes are only restricted by transportation requirements which are easily worked around using advanced technology.
MBSL’s tailored manufacturing process allows for all floor panels to be designed and manufactured with the utmost quality to ensure all panels achieve and surpass fire, sound transmission, and thermal resistance ratings set out in the residential and commercial building requirements.

Connections
- On-site construction use simple screw and bolt connections

Factory connections use pneumatic screw guns for sheathing and panel fasteners
Sheathing
- Sheathing for floor panels completed on site, most typically used is an oriented strand board or plywood subfloor

Additional sound transmission ratings may be required which can be achieved with lightweight concrete/gypsum coatings poured over OSB/ plywood.
